Our Story
Marzette’s House began in 1993 in Los Angeles, CA; the outreach served children and families in the local community, as well as projects and parks in the area. In partnership with World Opportunities, the outreach provided clothing and food to those in need weekly. In 1997, the outreach relocated to the Antelope Valley and continues to serve community members who traditionally are left unserved through “street outreach” that includes local parks, motels, alleys, etc. The outreach was named after Pastor Marzette Henry’s mother, Marzette Washington, as a way to honor her life as a young mother; although she was diagnosed with a terminal illness, she ensured her children’s needs were met. The mission statement is dedicated to her and all women.
